A Twelve-Year Night

A Twelve-Year Night

In A TWELVE-YEAR NIGHT, three prisoners held in Uruguay in 1973 are taken from their cells in the middle of the night and kept in solitary confinement for more than 12 years. Though the secret military operation is meant to break them,  the three men survive their ordeal through imagination, courage and sheer will, ultimately seeing the end of their country's brutal dictatorship. Based on the true story of Jose "Pepe" Mujica, who served as president of Uruguay from 2010-15.
